I've been looking for a good Eclipse plugin to connect to a database. DBEdit fits the bill nicely.
I've been spoiled with Eclipse's Java editor code completion and can't live without it, DBEdit brings this completion to the SQL editor, very nice.

Works nicely for the Eclipse 3.0 versions, no success with the newer Eclipse versions. Did the project die?

Good visual interface. Easy to use. The sql editor is very good.

it worked great for eclipse 3.0 and earlier but does not work properly with eclipse 3.1. When trying to bring up table rows, the plugin just continually clocks and never completes. If you stop the query then you are not able to do any edits at all.

Very good plugin. I would like to see a view, however, that would show all of the table information (columns, column types, constraints, a table preview, etc) rather than a pop-up properties dialog or the properties view.
